CMW, Inc. formerly known as Chrisman Miller Woodford, Inc. was founded in 1962 by Norman Chrisman and Ken Miller. At that time they formed an architectural partnership known as Chrisman and Miller.
As the firm grew and the partnership expanded the name was changed to Chrisman Miller Woodford. During that period the partnership was converted to a corporation.
In 1986 the Richmond Kentucky engineering firm of Ballard Luxon was acquired and became a subsidiary of Chrisman Miller Woodford, Inc. known as CMW/Luxon Engineers, Inc., which specializes in civil engineering and surveying.
In
the early 1990's Norman Chrisman retired and the firm modified its name to CMW,
Inc.
In 1996 CMW, Inc.
established a branch office in Louisville, Kentucky.
Since the founding of the firm, CMW, Inc.
has grown significantly and expanded the options of professional services available
to include civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, landscape
architecture, interior design, and construction management and design/build
services. Architectural specialty areas include community, education - secondary,
equine, government & criminal justice, health care, industrial, recreation,
residential - multi-family, religious, and retail.
